European Influenced Designs

About the picture on the right:  My clients are world travelers and after spending several vacations in Umbria, Italy, they decided they wanted a room that depicted many of their favorite places they visited.  Thus, the powder room was transformed from a white walled, white floor, bland powder room to a fantastic Italian retreat.  The budget was $8,000 and my goal was to keep within that budget. 

The artist prepped the white walls and sketched Italian scenes from my client’s pictures in pastels.  I selected hand pressed and hand glazed tiles that added warmth and texture to the backsplash.  The light fixtures in oil rubbed bronze adds the Old World charm to the space.  The white lavatory and bland cabinet was replaced with a beautifully carved chest, adding to the warmth of the room.

The textured silk window treatment with Scalamandre trim added a touch of sophistication to the space.  I have very happy clients and stayed within the $8,000 budget. Now my client says “I’m going to sit in Italy.”
