Despite the gracious proportions and visual richness of the room, there is a feeling of intimacy in the sitting area.  A wonderful, hand-knotted rug from India was laid over carpet, enhancing the warmth and coziness of this otherwise formal environment. 

The circular stairway and custom designed railing and stair runner add architectural detailing the room deserves, further complementing the refined interior and mood.
